Does Castaway Bed include installation?
Installation is included when white glove delivery is selected at checkout. Our delivery team will bring the bed into your home, install the system in your room, and ensure everything is fully set up before leaving.
If you select freight shipping, installation is not included and the bed will require in-home assembly.
Do I need to assemble anything myself?
If you select white glove delivery, no assembly is required. Our delivery team installs the bed and removes all packaging materials before leaving.
If you select freight shipping, the bed will arrive packaged and will require assembly in your home.
If you have questions during assembly, our team is always available to help guide you through the process.
How long does installation take?
For white glove delivery, most installations are completed during the initial delivery visit. Our team will deliver the bed, install the system in your room, and ensure everything is fully operational before leaving.
If any unexpected issues arise — such as room access challenges, furniture that needs to be moved, or a component that requires replacement — installation may require an additional visit. If that happens, our team will coordinate the next installation date with you before leaving to ensure it works with your schedule.
For freight shipping, the bed will require in-home assembly. We recommend having at least two people available for installation. Most customers are able to complete the setup within a day, and our team is always available if you have questions during assembly.
Can I reschedule my delivery?
For white glove delivery, delivery appointments can be rescheduled as long as we are notified at least 72 hours before your scheduled delivery window.
For freight shipping, order changes must be requested within one week of placing your order. After that point, we cannot guarantee that the freight provider will be able to adjust the delivery timing.

Will the bed fit through my doorway or into my room?
For white glove delivery, this is typically not an issue. Castaway Bed components are delivered unboxed and carried into the home individually, allowing our delivery team to bring the pieces through standard doorways, hallways, and stairways.
The most important requirement is ensuring that entryways, hallways, and the bedroom are clear so the team can safely carry the components into the room and complete installation.
For freight shipping, the bed will arrive packaged for delivery and will require in-home assembly. Once freight shipping becomes available, you will be able to review the packaging dimensions in our Dimensions and Fit Guide to ensure the boxes can be moved through your doorways, hallways, and stairways.

• Clearing a path from the entrance of your home to the bedroom
• Removing shoes, toys, or other items that may obstruct walkways
• Ensuring the bedroom has enough space for installation
This allows the delivery team to safely bring the components into the room and complete installation during the scheduled visit.
For freight shipping, the bed will arrive packaged and will require in-home assembly. Some components may be heavy, so we recommend having at least two people available to move the items into the home and complete installation.
