Too many sleepless nights
I love my partner. But between the snoring and his habit of creeping over to my side of the bed, I was waking up more tired than when I went to sleep.
On the nights he wasn't there, I'd end up with my five-year-old sprawled across the middle, pushing me to the edge. I kept thinking — there has to be a better way.

A bed that makes room for real life
We wanted a bed for couples who love each other but still want their own space. For parents with kids and pets who climb in at 2 a.m.
I shared the idea with my partner, fully expecting him to smile and nod. Instead, he leaned in. He started sketching. And that's how it really began.

Castaway Bed was designed from the ground up — sturdy platform construction, a motorized center that moves at the press of a button, and floating nightstands that travel with you.
Every detail was designed to feel permanent, sturdy, and effortlessly beautiful. Because a bed this personal deserves to be built to last.

Why we built something that didn’t exist
Most beds are designed for a version of life that doesn’t really exist. Two people. Same schedule. Same sleep habits. No interruptions.
But real life looks different. Couples have different sleep patterns. Kids climb in during the night. Pets take up more space than they should. And more people than ever are quietly struggling with sleep.
We kept seeing the same thing over and over again: People weren’t the problem. The bed was. So instead of trying to fix how people sleep, we designed a bed that adapts to how people actually live.
We built Castaway because we needed it. And once we realized how many people were quietly dealing with the same thing, we knew we had to do something about it.
Castaway is more than just a bed — it’s a flexible, functional space that grows with you.
