Answers before you decide
How much space do I need for Castaway Bed+
Castaway requires the same footprint as a standard king with nightstands when closed (96" wide). When open, the two platforms slide outward up to 31 inches total. We recommend at least 18 inches of open wall space on either side.
How is the bed controlled+
A push-to-operate switch on the back of each nightstand. The bed moves only while the button is held and stops the moment you release it. No remote, no app, no voice control, by design.
Is it safe around children and pets+
Yes. The push-to-operate switch requires sustained pressure to move the bed and it stops the moment you release it. The bed cannot be accidentally activated. The center platform is floor-anchored and provides a stable space for children and pets when the bed is open.
What's included with every Castaway Bed+
The motorized split-king bed system, two integrated floating nightstands with built-in charging, the center platform with its own 31-inch mattress included, the integrated headboard (Anchor only), and full white-glove delivery and assembly. The only thing you supply is your Twin XL mattresses.
What mattresses are compatible+
Any standard Twin XL mattress for the two main platforms. We recommend 10 to 14 inches in height. The 31-inch center platform mattress is included. Pillow Cube is our official mattress partner and what we recommend for the best sleep experience.
What's the weight capacity+
Each side comfortably supports up to 500 lbs and is built to move smoothly under load. The center platform is floor-anchored and supports normal sleeping use by children, adults, and pets.
How loud is the motor when the bed moves+
You'll hear the motor while the bed is moving. It's comparable to other motorized furniture and only runs during the 15 to 17-second open or close cycle. Outside of that, it's silent.
Where do you deliver and how long does it take+
We currently deliver to NY, NJ, CT, PA, DE, MD, and surrounding areas, with white-glove in-home installation included on every order. Delivery and setup typically occur within 4 to 6 weeks of your order.
