We built Castaway because we were tired of choosing between good sleep and sleeping together.
We knew we needed more space at night, but we didn't want separate bedrooms, separate beds, or a solution that looked clinical. We wanted something beautiful that adapted to the way families actually live.

Simply a beautiful king
Closed, Castaway is simply a beautiful king. The motorized system stays completely out of sight, and nothing about it gives away what it can do until you want it to.
One bed, becomes two
Press and hold the discreet control behind the nightstand, and the two Twin XL platforms glide apart, up to 31 inches. Release, and they stop where you leave them. What looked like a single king is now two separate beds.
Room for whoever climbs in
Every Castaway includes a 31 inch center mattress on a stabilized, floor anchored platform. It is the part parents notice first. Big house or small, the children and the dog still find their way into your bed. Now there is a real place for them, a child or a pet settled in the middle, while you keep your own space on either side.

Made to Order
Every Castaway Bed is built specifically for its owner. Your bed enters production after your order is placed and is crafted in your selected configuration. Nothing is sitting in a warehouse waiting to be shipped.
Scheduled Delivery & Installation
When your bed is ready, we'll schedule a delivery date that works for you. Castaway arrives partially assembled and is brought directly into your home by our installation team. We complete the assembly, positioning, and system setup in the room where it will live.

There Is No Other Bed Like This
Most split king beds adjust how you sleep. Castaway changes where you sleep.
Traditional adjustable beds allow each side to raise, lower, or customize comfort settings, but the two sleepers remain side by side. Castaway physically creates space between partners when desired, then returns to a single king bed with the touch of a button. It's a fundamentally different approach to sleep, designed for couples who want flexibility without separate bedrooms.

Anchor and Drift are where most rooms begin. Because every Castaway is made to order, the bed can also be built to your specification, with custom finishes and custom sizes including two queens or two kings. We work directly with interior designers to match the bed to the room, the palette, and the way the space will be lived in.

Answers before you decide
Castaway needs the same footprint as a standard king with nightstands when closed, about 96 inches wide. When open, the platforms slide outward up to 31 inches total. We recommend at least 18 inches of open wall space on either side.
A push to operate switch sits on the back of each nightstand. The bed moves only while the button is held and stops the moment you release it. No remote, no app, no voice control, by design.
Yes. The switch requires sustained pressure to move the bed and stops the instant you release it, so it cannot be activated by accident. The center platform is floor anchored and gives children and pets a stable space when the bed is open.
The motorized split king system, two integrated floating nightstands with built in charging, the center platform with its own 31 inch mattress, the integrated headboard on the Anchor, and full white glove delivery and assembly. You supply your two Twin XL mattresses.
We currently deliver to NY, NJ, CT, PA, DE, MD, and surrounding areas, with white glove in home installation on every order. Delivery and setup typically happen within 4 to 6 weeks of your order. Expedited delivery is available in many areas, as soon as two weeks.
